You Are Not A Frail And Fragile People

This is the thirteenth post in a series of posts on the revelation “The Great Turning Point for Humanity.” This revelation is a small part of the New Message from God. The first post is here. The previous post is here.

What have we seen before? Humanity has responded to great challenges in the past. There is a great, untapped power within people. It is important for nations to focus on world security as well as national security.

You are not a frail and fragile people

The following is the 79th paragraph of this teaching. I will add my experience of each paragraph in brackets. These are the final paragraphs of this revelation.

So what We are speaking of here today is known to you. It is in your cultures. It is in your history. It is in your blood.

[ I believe they are referring specifically to the previous paragraph. But the entire teaching is giving the details of the great difficulties humanity will face.]

You are not a frail and fragile people, but you have become weak in your luxury and self-indulgence; you have become distracted and confused seeking personal wishes and ambitions.

[ “You” in this case means “humanity.” What if you were asked what you did with your life? Would you like to be able to say “I helped secure human survival and freedom?”]

The great times are upon you, and you must respond. This is a gift of unparalleled value, if you can respond. It will do everything for you that you could not do for yourself. It will do everything for the world that must be done, if enough people can respond.

[ Now they switch to you as an individual. You may not think you are much in the greater scheme of things. But if you can respond to this, it would be a great contribution to the world. If enough people can respond, humanity can succeed, securing its survival and freedom.]

Heaven waits and watches to see who can respond. There is no condemnation here. There is only encouragement. But there is great sobriety over what is occurring, great need and great urgency.

[ What if not enough people respond? This was said in an earlier paragraph: “If humanity cannot respond sufficiently, if enough people cannot respond, then the human family will fall prey to domination by other forces, who are already planting the seeds of dissension amongst you and even within you, within certain people.” I confess that when I heard the words “great sobriety,” I thought to myself “Even the angels are nervous about our prospects.”]

Great change is upon you. It is time to prepare. The preparation is here, it is given, through the Grace of God and through all of God’s Angels and advocates and true servants in the world.

[ You are not a frail and fragile people. But we face great difficulties. You have great, untapped power within you. You can express it if you take the preparation, the Steps to Knowledge. ]

Do We Think Our Visitors Are A Military Threat?

Two new recent public opinion polls have been conducted regarding UFOs/UAP. Ipsos conducted the first poll in May of 2021 of 1,000 Canadians. The Pew Research Center conducted the second poll in June of 2021 of 10,000 Americans.

Do we think our visitors are a military threat?

The Ipsos poll asked “Do you believe intelligent life exists somewhere else in the universe?” 65% of the respondents said “Yes.” The Pew Research Center poll asked “Just your best guess, do you think intelligent life exists on other planets?” 65% of the respondents said “Yes.” I consider this consistent with the Gallup Poll survey of June 2019 and the Marist Poll survey of February 2018.

These two surveys are the first surveys I know of where people have been asked if UFOs constitute a military threat. An Ipsos press release for the poll reports:

“Though a majority of Canadians may believe in UFOs, the prevailing attitude toward them is surprisingly laid-back. Fewer than two in ten (17%) say the Canadian government should have a dedicated task force and battle plan in place for a potential alien invasion. Half (51%) say no, and one in three (32%) are unsure. Even among UFO believers, only one in four (25%) think Canada should have a task force and battle plan in place.”

I find the opinions of Canadians and Americans to be remarkably consistent regarding whether UFOs are a military threat. I believe that the small minority consider the seemingly advanced capabilities of UFOs. US Senator Marco Rubio has spoken on this from a national security standpoint

“The minute people hear about it they think, ‘These are little green space aliens.’ I don’t even start from that premise. That’s the wrong way to analyze it in my mind,” Rubio told Fox News Radio.

“The facts are that there are things flying over our military installations. They don’t belong to us. They seem to evidence some technological advancement that we don’t have and have never seen,” he continued.

The New Message from God teaches what is currently a minority viewpoint on the subject of extraterrestrials.

1) Intelligent extraterrestrial life exists
2) Extraterrestrials are intervening in human affairs today
3) This extraterrestrial intervention is a threat to human freedom

It’s almost as if a pacification program is underway. The 50% of Canadians and Americans who are persuaded that UFO’s do not constitute a military threat might be evidence of this program. Do we think our visitors are a military threat? It would seem that we don’t. But it doesn’t follow that they are here for the benefit of humanity.

Humanity Has Risen To Great Occasions Before

What have we seen so far? There is a great power within people that is largely untapped. This decade is a pivotal time in human history. A divided humanity faces an extraterrestrial intervention.

Humanity has risen to great occasions before

The following is the 73rd paragraph of this teaching. I will add my experience of each paragraph in brackets.

Whether you believe in God or not, whether you are religious or not, it is all the same. It is a call to action. No religion will save you if you cannot respond to what We speak of here today.

[No country will succeed if their neighbor fails. No religion will succeed if its neighbor fails. No religious observance will change the climate or restore the environment. We must accept responsibility.]

The blessing is with you, but you do not know you are blessed. You are troubled, but you do not know what really troubles you. You are confused because you do not know where you stand and where you are and what is coming over the horizon.

[I think of the heat dome in Canada, the flooding in Germany, and the recent flooding in China. I remember reading The Great Waves of Change and thinking “This is something that will happen over the next century or so.” But I seem to be mistaken. We seem to be in the middle of the Great Waves of Change. ]

You must be patient. You must be persevering. It is not something you are just going to fix up in a weekend or in a year. It is going to take the rest of your life to do this. But what else would you do with your life in a new world reality?

[I must determine that I will be one of life’s contributors and not one of life’s casualties. It is important that I trust my deepest inclinations. I have to find and follow what I know, what I find self-evident that needs all the love I can give. ]

There will be few luxuries in this new world reality, but there will be great need and great meaning and great purpose and great contribution. That is what will make humanity a powerful and free race in the universe, where freedom is rare.

[Part of the preparation for the future is cultivating the ability to enjoy simple pleasures. Another part might be to make a contribution one day, and make another contribution the next day. You might not believe it, but everyone is here to make a contribution to human survival and freedom. The free races in the universe leave other races alone.]

We give you this and the invitation to explore what We mean and what We are saying. Do not be timid. Do not think you already know the truth, for what you know means nothing in the face of God’s Revelation. Your ideas, your beliefs, your convictions, your strong opinions have nothing to stand upon, but there is a deeper Intelligence within you that will respond to what We say, if you are free enough within yourself to allow this to happen.

[This is the latest revelation of the New Message from God, received on December 31, 2019. There is a possibility that this is the exclamation point of the New Message from God. So much has been said over the past 38 years. What is your experience of this?]

It is a turning point. It is not easy. It is not comfortable. It is not reassuring at the beginning, but humanity has risen to great occasions countless times before in times of great need, great travail, great conflict.

[ I think of great famines, great epidemics, as instances where humanity has risen to great occasions before. I empathize with people who consider the possibility of this, and feel discomfort. We need to become a different kind of people.]

How Much Is Really Necessary?

My maternal grandfather used the phrase “walking in high cotton” to describe being in the presence of distinguished individuals. I am thankful to have made the acquaintance of Melor Georgievich Sturua a few years before he left this world in June of 2021. It was just one of those things. An obituary can be found in Izvestia, for which he wrote for many years. Many Russian readers “discovered America” by way of his writing.

How much is really necessary?

There is a particular conversation with him I wish to share. I’m not exactly sure how this came up, but I asked him

“America has 330 million people. India has 1,366 million people. China has 1,398 million people. What will happen if the people of India and China consume as much resources per capita as the people of America?”

He answered without a blink, and without missing a beat.

“It will be the end of humanity.”

I believe this is true. The New Message from God teaches that humanity faces a world of declining resources. The image that is often used is a growing number of people drinking from a slowly shrinking well.

How much is really necessary? Jefim Vogel, a Ph.D student at the University of Leeds, and four other researchers have made an effort to answer that question. Their paper in the journal “Global Environmental Change” is titled “Socio-economic conditions for satisfying human needs at low energy use: An international analysis of social provisioning.” There are efforts in this paper to look at various countries to determine a level of resource consumption that will both mitigate climate change and avoid social revolution.

Some research in this area has already been undertaken. One particular result is the amount of global energy consumption per capita consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees C. This figure is 27 Gigajoules per person, or 7500 kilowatt-hours. How does this compare with what we are currently using? It’s a lot less.

How much is really necessary? What is the level of certainty on that red line? I don’t know if these results are true or not. But the researchers report that no nation on earth meets the needs of its citizens, and stays under the 27 Gj per capita energy budget. The world as a whole consumes almost three times that figure. All I know is that if the above figure is true, everyone faces difficult choices in the years to come.

What Is The Power Of Knowledge?

What have we seen so far? Every nation must seek the security of the world, not just its own security. A united humanity is necessary to resist the extraterrestrial intervention. Humanity must unite to successfully respond to declining resources and changing climate.

What is the power of Knowledge?

The following is the 67th paragraph of this teaching. I will add my experience of each paragraph in brackets.

At the beginning, you will be afraid. We understand. It is natural; it is normal. We are not expecting you to be all knowing and all powerful, but We are asking you to become responsible. You will have to move beyond your fear, and you will, if you proceed.

What is the power of Knowledge? — Step 152 of Steps to Knowledge, the book of spiritual practice of the New Message from God

[ I can imagine that people will be greatly afraid as the Great Waves of Change keep arriving on our shores. There are 12 different steps scattered throughout the 365 steps of Steps to Knowledge that address the subject of fear.]

God has sent a preparation to engage with the power of Knowledge within yourself, presented in such a way that it can be translated throughout the world in the simplest possible terms, but with the greatest depth you can imagine—a preparation sent from God. That has never happened in the world before.

[Steps to Knowledge is that preparation. It has been translated into 18 different languages, and is in progress in 10 additional languages. The readability level of Steps to Knowledge is roughly that of a high school freshman. This has made it relatively easy to translate into the languages of the world.]

Preparations have been created and invented, but something direct from God? God would not respond unless the world and humanity were in great danger.

[ I do not claim to have even scratched the surface of what Steps to Knowledge offers to people. I hope and believe that my efforts will make it easier for future students to demonstrate the power of Knowledge.]

Nothing else will make you strong. Nothing else will make you whole. Nothing else will make you competent. Nothing else will engage you in meaningful relationships. Nothing else will unite you with others and heal the wounds of Separation between peoples and nations and cultures and religions, but to face these things We speak of here today and to receive a Revelation that is the next great step in God’s preparation for this world, given at a time of the most profound need and difficulty.

Step 234 of Steps to Knowledge, the book of spiritual practice of the New Message from God

[ What is the power of Knowledge? Knowledge will not make you rich, famous or glamorous. It might make you essential, less complex and deeper. Knowledge could inspire you to do something important for the welfare of your world.]

The Messenger will go forth and speak of these things, as he has done before. He will speak to your heart, but he will also speak to your strength. He will reassure you that there is no condemnation in God, no Hell and damnation in God, for that is a human creation.

The Messenger, Marshall Vian Summers, is in plain sight in the world

[ The Messenger is in the world. The Messenger entered the world in the usual way in 1949. The Messenger is the man Marshall Vian Summers. It took a long time before he declared as the Messenger by his Message. Some people will look at world events and believe God is judging the world. But God is only the witness. ]

But you are living in a hellish state, and God’s Plan is to rescue you from this by giving you important things to do in the world—things that are needed, not simply things that would make you feel good in the moment; things that are required; things that will make a real difference.

[ What is the power of Knowledge? The power to look at the world with eyes unclouded by longing, unclouded by terror. It is the ability to respond to inner inspiration instead of social conditioning. A capacity of responding to a situation unhindered by persuasion or discouragement. To do things that will make a real difference. Oh, how I long for this power! I long to be a worthy vessel of Knowledge. ]

A Song To Sing On The Road To Freedom

I have taken nourishment from the songs of my fellow Americans. If I wish to progress as a student of Knowledge, I must keep my eyes on the prize. I must keep my hand to the plow, practicing daily. I have to keep a song on my lips, and deep in my soul.

James Rosamond Johnson (1873-1954), music writer of “Lift Every Voice and Sing”

I dream a world with a unified humanity. I have reflected on the anthems of nations and the joy they bring. I have dreamed of a future anthem for the human family. But today, I feel an inclination to write of a song that became an anthem. The song is “Lift Every Voice And Sing.” Two brothers, James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938) and James Rosamond Johnson (1873-1954), wrote this song in 1900.

A song to sing on the road to freedom

Out of all the songs written in 1900, two particularly stand out. “We Shall Overcome” and “Lift Every Voice And Sing.” Francis Scott Key is more famous for the Star-Spangled Banner than anything else he did. I believe James Weldon Johnson is more famous for “Lift Every Voice And Sing” than anything else he did. James Weldon Johnson writes of his feelings and how this song spread.

“A group of young men in Jacksonville, Florida, arranged to celebrate Lincoln’s birthday in 1900. My brother, J. Rosamond Johnson, and I decided to write a song to be sung at the exercises. I wrote the words and he wrote the music. Our New York publisher, Edward B. Marks, made mimeographed copies for us, and the song was taught to and sung by a chorus of five hundred colored school children.

Shortly afterwards my brother and I moved away from Jacksonville to New York, and the song passed out of our minds. But the school children of Jacksonville kept singing it; they went off to other schools and sang it; they became teachers and taught it to other children. Within twenty years it was being sung over the South and in some other parts of the country. Today the song, popularly known as the Negro National Hymn, is quite generally used.

The lines of this song repay me in an elation, almost of exquisite anguish, whenever I hear them sung by Negro children.”

Lift every voice and sing
Till earth and heaven ring,
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise
High as the listening skies,
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us.
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won.

Stony the road we trod,
Bitter the chastening rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat,
Have not our weary feet
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered,

Oh, if only the Johnson brothers could have seen Alicia Keys perform this song as the prelude to Super Bowl LV. I’m told that 96 million viewers watched this. What elation would they feel!

American poet Langston Hughes, writing of the song “Gospel Plow,” wrote:

A long time ago,
An enslaved people heading toward freedom
Made up a song:
Keep Your Hand On The Plow! Hold On!

All I know is that “Lift Every Voice And Sing” is a song that has stood the test of time. If anyone is singing a song to sing on the road to freedom, they are my comrade. And when the anthem of the human family arrives, it will bring the same elation as “Lift Every Voice And Sing.”

One Nation Won’t Succeed If Others Fail

This is the tenth post in a series of posts on the revelation “The Great Turning Point for Humanity.” This revelation is a small part of the New Message from God. The first post is here. The previous post is here .

What have we seen so far? Humanity’s enemies consider humanity to be weak, divided and pathetic. And yet, it is not impossible for humanity to unite and become a strong race. But it requires people to recognize the gravity of the situation.

One nation won’t succeed if others fail

The following is the 60th paragraph of this teaching. I will add my experience of each paragraph in brackets.

You stand at the next decade—a decade of tumultuous change, a decade of evolution, evolutionary change, not just personal change, not just political change—evolutionary change. [It will] change the outcome for everyone. Succeed or fail, [this is a] pivotal time in human history, perhaps the most ever.

[This revelation was received on December 31, 2019, the eve of a new decade. The words in brackets have been added by Marshall Vian Summers for clarification. While many people recognize the changes in the world, not many people recognize the evolutionary change. Can you think of the importance of your presence in the world?]

One nation will not succeed if other nations fail. You will have to unite in some kind of functional form to begin to tackle the great problems that you are facing now. Fail to do this, and the hour will become too late and calamity will grow.

[China won’t succeed if America fails. America won’t succeed if India fails. Your nation won’t succeed if their nation fails. Where will the refugees go when a nation fails? Who will provide for them?]

We will not tell you what this will look like because you do not yet have the strength to hear it. But what We offer you is the way out of this greater dilemma, not because someone is going to come and rescue you, not because some foreign power is going to come and rescue you—the foreign power is your problem, not your solution—not because some great saint or sage is going to come and lead humanity out of its great predicament. It is a Calling for people all around the world to respond.

[This teaching has already rebuked those who look to extraterrestrials for humanity’s deliverance. There are people who sincerely believe in the coming of some extraordinary figure. The Savior, the Maitreya, The Imam. But what if they don’t come? What then?American band The Eagles wrote in the song “The Last Resort,”

Who will provide the grand design?
What is yours and what is mine?
‘Cause there is no more new frontier
We have got to make it here.

Humanity needs a lot of everyday people to respond and prepare. The word Calling has been capitalized by Marshall Vian Summers.]

Be you of any religion, any nation, any culture, any station in life, be you man or woman, child or adolescent, this is a Calling to go far and wide. Who will take it far and wide? Who will honor the Messenger who has been sent into the world from the Angelic Assembly to bring it here at this great pivotal turning point?

[Do I dare to say “I will?” This message is a small part of the New Message from God. There is a New Message from God in the world. It has come from the Creator of all life. Marshall Vian Summers is its Messenger. This blog post is part of my effort to take this Calling far and wide.]

This is a confrontation with reality We are giving you here today. Argue with it. Deny it. Pretend it is not so, and you will fail.

[“You” means “humanity.” “fail” means “become extinct or enslaved and exploited by foreign powers.”]

So who amongst you will succeed? Who amongst you will respond? Who amongst you will take a path of preparation not of your own making to face a world beyond your comprehension and beyond what you are used to?

[Do I dare to say “I will?” The path of preparation they offer is Steps to Knowledge. I freely admit that I wasn’t thinking of a moment like this when I started practicing Steps to Knowledge. But anyone who practices Steps to Knowledge will be led into a life of necessity and away from a life of casual choices.]

This next decade will be very decisive. It will not be completely decisive, but it will be very decisive. If you continue in your current ways, with little change in direction, then the consequences upon the peoples of this world will be far greater than they are today, so great that even nations will not be able to handle the difficulties of their own populations, even in the rich countries.

[ One nation won’t succeed if others fail. Not enough people are responding and preparing. Will you?]
