Plundered, Looted Heap Of Fallen Ruin

Aleppo-Great-Mosque Plundered, looted heap of fallen ruinJesus told his disciples: “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. So he called him in and asked him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.’” (Luke 16:1-2, New International Version)

I recall this story when I read the New Message from God revelation “The Race to Save Human Civilization,” received by Marshall Vian Summers in 2009 in Aleppo, Syria. In the gospel story, it wasn’t the end of the world for the unrighteous manager, but it definitely was the end of a season of high living at the master’s expense. In the same way, while the Great Waves of Change are not the end of the world, it is the end of a season of squandering our natural inheritance.

1/26/2015 UPDATE:This has turned into a series of posts. The next post in the series is here.

Plundered, looted heap of fallen ruin

“While everything appears to be normal in these days, Great Waves of change are coming to the world—change on a level never seen before, change that will affect every person in the world. Greater than the world wars, it will be. Greater than the great pandemics of the past will it be. Great Waves of change. Humanity has plundered the world and has destroyed your natural inheritance to such a great degree that the world will change now, becoming a more difficult place for the human family.”

It’s hard to live in Aleppo right now. Its infrastructure has been greatly degraded. Warring factions struggle for control of various neighborhoods. And I look at Aleppo and I think to myself “That’s what we’ve done to the world. We’ve taken a beautiful world, and made it into a plundered, looted heap of fallen ruin.”

It is as if the New Message “knew” that people might ask “Who’s to blame for this? Please let us know, so we can punish them hideously!”

“It has taken a very long time to create the conditions that will bring about the Great Waves of change. And everyone has participated in this to some degree, so there is no one person or organization or nation alone who is fully to blame. The wealthy nations have taken more, but everyone has taken from the world—even the poorest people, who have taken so little and who have so little. Everyone is responsible.”

“They say that what you mock, will surely overtake you, and you become the monster, so the monster will not break you.” – U2, “Peace on Earth”

American Christian songwriter Larry Norman wrote “Children died, the days grew cold, a piece of bread could buy a bag of gold, I wish we’d all been ready.” But the New Message identifies something else as an even more precious commodity than bread.

“It is a situation now that you must consider for the future and prepare for at this time. For there will be great human migrations as the arid regions of the world lose their ability to produce food, as water resources become scarce and as conflict arises between nations and groups within nations over who will have access to the remaining resources. However masked these conflicts may be under the guise of religion and politics, it will be a struggle for resources primarily.”

It is as if the patterns of temperature and rainfall that humanity has taken for granted for many years are facing disruption, and the delicate balance in the arid regions of the world is being tipped. Suppose you hear a knock on your front door. You open the door, and there is a young couple with a baby and a 5-year-old. They ask “We haven’t eaten in two days. No one will give us anything. Can you help us?” What are you going to say? Will you be prepared for anything like this? You are clearly going to have to think outside anything and everything you have ever thought inside.

“The world sounds the same. The vibrations and noise of a big city, but it is but the signs of great change to come that people are not seeing because they are not responding to Knowledge, the deeper intelligence that the Creator of all life has placed within each person to guide them, to protect them and to lead them to their greater accomplishments in life.”

This is the only revelation I know of that has car horns and traffic noises in the background. But an indictment of a sin of commission has been brought against your species. Your species is charged with taking a rich, abundant, beautiful world, and making it into a plundered, looted heap of fallen ruin. How do you plead? An indictment of a sin of omission has been brought against you and me. We are changed with not responding to Knowledge, the deeper intelligence. How do you plead? I plead that I’m making an effort to respond to Knowledge, but I wonder if my efforts are adequate.

There is more to say about this revelation, but I will say it in the next post. The good news is that that bad news isn’t all the news.

Do You See Aleppo? 2014 Encampment Day 2

Souq Khan Al-Wazeer, Aleppo, Before and After Do you see Aleppo?

Souq Khan Al-Wazeer, Aleppo, Before and After

There is a city among troubled humanity. This city vividly represents the difficult times ahead predicted by the New Message from God. This city is the city of Aleppo, Syria.

Archaeologists have discovered evidence of human activity near Aleppo from the period of 10,700 to 9,500 BC. Excavations at Tell as-Sawda and Tell al-Ansari show that the area was occupied from around 5000 BC. There was a temple to the storm god Adda in Aleppo about 5,000 years ago. Legends among both Jews and Muslims say Abraham passed through Aleppo as he journeyed from Ur of the Chaldees. But the point is that Aleppo is a symbol of human civilization.

Do you see Aleppo?

In 2009, Marshall Vian Summers travelled to Aleppo with his grown son, Reed Summers. During that time, Marshall Vian Summers received the revelation “The Race to Save Human Civilization.” That revelation contained the words:

“At this moment, you can stand in the middle of a city of two million people and in 20 years, it will be desolate.”

Reed Summers shared his experience of that time in a post entitled “The Prophecy of Aleppo’s Collapse.” I have added further information on the destruction which has taken place in Aleppo since 2009.

I mention this because on the morning of Day 2 of the 2014 Encampment, Reed Summers shared his experience of that time. And what is happening in Aleppo now? Vice News reports:

Aleppo, one of the world’s oldest cities, is now a wasteland. Since the Syrian civil war reached Aleppo two years ago, Syria’s commercial and industrial capital has been the scene of bitter house- to-house fighting, as both the rebels and regime struggle for overall control.

I believe no joy was taken by Marshall Vian Summers or Reed Summers at the 2009 prophecy of Aleppo’s collapse. I believe no joy was taken by the people in the room at Encampment at the prophecy of Aleppo’s collapse. I believe they realized that if Aleppo, a city with millennia of habitation and civilization, can be desolate, then that seems to say something about the difficulty of the times ahead. During this time, I wrote in my notes the words of a voice in my mind’s ear:

“Do you see Aleppo? Without the New Message, that is the world’s future.”

“Do you see Aleppo? Without a lot of [the participant who said “All my life has been preparation for this.”], that is the world’s future.”

“Do you see Aleppo? Without a lot of you’s, that is the world’s future.”

What do you see when you look at Aleppo? Do you see Aleppo?

An Appointment In Aleppo

Citadel Hill in Aleppo, Syria. In July of 2009, Marshall Vian Summers had an appointment in Aleppo

Most of the time, there is very little reference in the revelations received by Marshall Vian Summers, to the location where the revelation is received. Most of the time, not much detail is available as to the events leading up to any particular revelation. The revelation “The Race to Save Human Civilization” is an exception on both counts.

An appointment in Aleppo

This revelation was received in the city of Aleppo, Syria, on July 22, 2009. Aleppo is a city of a little more than 2 million people. Some say Aleppo has been inhabited since as early as 5,000 BC. There is archeological evidence showing Aleppo as a commercial center in the third millennium BC. Others say Abraham milked his sheep on Citadel Hill in the photo, although I don’t know how anyone would know that. But the point is that Aleppo is a symbol of human civilization.

I have already introduced you to Reed Summers, son of Marshall Vian Summers, in this space. This is from his account of that day:

Together we [Reed and Marshall] walked through the Umayyad Mosque, had lunch overlooking its thousand-year-old minaret and talked to the shopkeepers of the ancient souq nearby. We walked up towards the old citadel, just in time to face roadblocks and soldiers – not because of any conflict – but because the Turkish foreign ministry was holding bilateral trade talks with the Syrian government. From atop the citadel we looked out on Aleppo. It was high Summer and the city hummed and steamed with movement and heat. Already millions of Iraqi refugees had relocated to northern Syria and we wondered aloud about the fate of the country.

Between the time of Reed’s account and now, the thousand-year-old minaret of the Umayyad Mosque was reduced to a pile of rubble in clashes between Syrian government forces and rebels. But they were not merely tourists. It is as if Marshall Vian Summers had an appointment in Aleppo, an appointment with revelation. Reed goes on to describe the receiving of this revelation:

That night, The Messenger sat quietly in our small room at the Al Faisal hotel. At his side was a voice recorder. He turned it on, checked the microphone and did a sound test. Then he closed his eyes and waited. A dull silence ensued. Looking over to the closed window, I could hear the blunt honking, revving and shouting of typical evening traffic. Through the faded drapery I looked over the rooftops of the nearby buildings. The sky was gray and the wind was picking up. Above the chaos of satellite dishes, water tanks and laundry hung out to dry, was a Syrian flag flying tall above a government building. It flapped violently against its own flagpole as the wind picked up. In that moment Marshall raised his head, eyes closed and the voice began speaking – not his voice – but the voice of revelation now about to deliver page 9201 of the New Message from God.

The Hotel Al-Faisal is comfortable, but not fancy. It’s not like Marshall Summers wakes up in the morning and decides to receive a revelation. According to the timeline of the New Message from God, there was a period of almost four years (late 2001 to late 2005) where no revelations were received. Marshall has a certain experience of something wanting to come through for a certain period of time prior to when this voice speaks. This voice is distinct from Marshall’s normal voice. The audio of this message is available, and its the only message I know of with car horns honking in the background of the audio. People aren’t counting pages these days, because everyone familiar with the New Message from God knows that it’s a large number, and still growing. The message continued…

And then the words came: “At this moment, you can stand in the middle of a city of two million people and in 20 years, it will be desolate.”

Those prophetic words drove into my mind like a steel hammered into the ground. And they’re lodged there. As I read about the unfolding tragedy of Aleppo I remember that time in 2009 when everything appeared to be normal. Normal outside that room, outside the closed window with the faded drapes. But inside the room, the voice of the New Message from God bore down with the pressure of 2013, 2017, 2025.

Now Aleppo is caught in a spiral of destruction and disintegration. But it was foreseen. This is why God’s New Message must reach the world. Because it can tell the world what is coming.

It must be mentioned that Aleppo was not mentioned by name in this message, but it is as if the voice of revelation answered the questions Reed and Marshall were wondering aloud about earlier in the day.

I have no desire to be an alarmist or doom-monger.  I don’t believe Marshall Vian Summers has a desire to be an alarmist or doom-monger. But if the thousand-year-old minaret of the Umayyad Mosque can be destroyed, are any other historical treasures safe? And if Aleppo, a city with millennia of habitation and civilization, can be desolate, then that seems to say something about the difficulty of the times ahead. Perhaps that was the barbed point of this appointment in Aleppo.
