Responsibilities of the Messenger

The last day of the Messenger’s Vigil was devoted to exploring the Mission of the New Message from God and the responsibilities of its Messenger in the world. The New Message from God is a gift from the Creator of all life to help each person discover the deeper spiritual mind within them and with it their greater purpose in service to a world facing great evolutionary needs at this time.

During the Broadcast for Day 5 we spent a few moments considering just some of Marshall’s responsibilities and tasks, as listed here:

He is bringing a message of Revelation and redemption to the peoples of the whole world.

He is receiving the largest, most comprehensive and most inclusive Revelation in human history.

He is receiving a message for the entire human family, not for only one nation, religion, region or tribe.

He is bringing the New Revelation to the world and making it accessible.

He is presenting a new understanding, vision and experience of God.

He is revealing our timeless relationship and connection to God.

He is speaking to the reality of Knowledge in all people.

He is demonstrating a life of Knowledge and higher purpose in the world.

He is giving the sacred restoration to the individual.

He is demonstrating and revealing the true process of Revelation for the first time.

He is presenting the Voice of Revelation to the world for the first time.

He is establishing the community, the pathway, the organization and the leadership of the New Message for the future.

He is compiling the many thousands of pages of the Revelation into a series of sacred books.

He is bringing a Divine preparation for humanity’s emergence into the Greater Community.

He is bringing to humanity a new awareness of its place in the Universe.

He is bringing a Divine warning about the Great Waves of Change in the world.

He is reaching out to as many people as possible in his lifetime.

He is calling to the first respondents.

He is calling for greater Honesty.

It is not all up to him. Will others prepare to help him?

“If they do not respond and cannot respond and meet the requirements of their own calling, which is far less difficult and demanding than the Messenger’s, then the New Message may not build a hold or a footing in the world and be able to serve the world at this time as it is meant to do.” The Requirements of the Messenger.

These are consequential times.

“The goal is not happiness but preparation, readiness, contact, reunion and ultimately contribution to the world, wherever it may be appropriate for the individual. That is why the pursuit of happiness is so deceiving because the Revelation will make you uncomfortable. It will challenge you.” The Initiation.

Journey to a New Life.

This journey passes through several stages.

Vigil Day 4 Holding Vigil for people all over the world who are searching to take or who are engaging with a Journey to a New Life.

Our attention is drawn to a revelation of the New Message called “The Gift of a New Life.”

“To have a new life, you must do the work. It is not a spell that is put upon you. It is not taking some magic potion and having everything be different. It is not a form of addiction or intoxication. You will have to do the work. You will have to take the risks. You will have to make the decisions. You will have to disappoint other people. You will have to disappoint your own goals and ambitions. You will have to change your plans.”

Journey to a New Life

DO NOT TRY TO DEFINE THE CHANGE
Accept the great change that is happening and leave the explanation open. You will not be able to understand it. Allow this change to occur. Do not try to define it.

LET THIS BE A MYSTERY
Allow it to be a mystery, for to you it will be a mystery. Mystery exists beyond the realm of the intellect. Honor this. Accept this… Now the Mystery is beginning to emerge. Let this happen.

LET CONFUSION EXIST
You will become confused about what to do regarding your relationships with people primarily, and secondarily your relationship with where you live, the work that you do, your activities, your hobbies, your interests and so forth. Let this confusion exist. It is healthy. It is natural. It is part of the transition.

YOU ARE IN TRANSITION
You are building a bridge to a new life. You are not yet fully living that new life. You are building a bridge. You are in transition. Transitions are confusing because you are moving from one understanding to another understanding, from one experience of life to another experience of life. The transitions mean that you cannot go back, and you have not gone far enough to go fully forward, so you have to be on this bridge, going through this transition.

LEAVE YOUR FUTURE OPEN
Leave your future open. Set aside plans beyond what you must do to simply maintain yourself in the world. Here you must have trust that clarity will come, and clarity will come when you feel you are prepared to move forward and are willing to move forward into new territory.

Journey to a New Life

SEEK QUIET MORE THAN STIMULATION
You will seek quiet now more than stimulation. You need to listen. You need to be quiet. You need to gain a greater connection to this emerging power within yourself.

SPEND TIME ALONE
You will seek time away from other people. You will seek time alone. You will not want to have constant stimulation. You will need the confidence to do this. Most people cannot sit still for more than five seconds before they are driven out of themselves again. Here you must sit and listen. Gaze at nature. Listen to the sounds of the world, the natural world.

GATHER YOUR RESOURCES AND CONSERVE YOUR ENERGY
You must gather your resources and conserve your energy so that you have time to be alone, to learn to be still and to listen. You may find that the social activities around you will be aggravating and irritating to you, for you need something else now.

You are gathering your strength. You are gathering your resources. You are not throwing your life away. You want to plug up all the holes where your ship is leaking, where you are losing ground to others or to situations—through habit or through the designs of others.

YOU CANNOT TAKE AN OLD LIFE INTO A NEW LIFE
You have to disengage. You cannot take an old life into a new life, and so you are going through an incremental disengagement. Part of this disengagement is physical. It has to do with your activities and involvements with others. But much of it is internal. It is your ideas. It is your compulsions. It is what you think you should do, who you think you should be, what you should have or how you should be with others. For this is where the social conditioning really takes place.

Journey to a New Life

EXCERCISE DISCERNMENT AND RESTRAINT
Limit the influences around you. Be silent with those who proclaim themselves, who have strong points of view regarding the world. Do not enter into debate at this point. Do not contend with others. Do not argue the issues. Do not assert your ideas. That is not important now and will be counterproductive for you.

TAKE TIME TO BE WITH THE PRESENCE OF KNOWLEDGE
Take time to be with the presence of Knowledge within yourself. Take time to take the Steps to Knowledge, to study the Steps to Knowledge and to place yourself in a position where they can reveal their greater truth to you.

BE A RECIPIENT
Your task is to follow the emergence of Knowledge within yourself, to be true to that, to be the recipient, to pull yourself in, to take the time it takes for a great emergence to happen within you

BE PATIENT
And do not be impatient, for what your are coming to know will emerge in its own time. You do not yet realize the magnitude of what is happening or how great its possibilities for the future will be.

STUDY THE PATHWAY THE NEW MESSAGE HAS PROVIDED
At some point, it will be necessary for you to begin to study the pathway that the New Message has provided: to take the Steps to Knowledge, to read the Wisdom from the Greater Community and to learn about Greater Community Spirituality, listen to the Voice of Revelation. This will be like food to you, food for your heart, food for your soul.

Greater Context and Greater Relationships.

Vigil Day 2 Holding Vigil for people all over the world who are searching for a Greater Context: Contact and Humanity’s Emergence in the Greater Community

This day of the Vigil is particularly for those who, from a very early age, have felt their life would be part of a great transition. They cannot give definition to this feeling, it is coming from a deeper place within them, and it orients them in a certain direction, if they are ready to follow it. This is a disturbing transition, we are moving into a persuasive environment, and we need to have our wits about us. We cannot be falling victim to the persuasion of those alien races visiting us to take advantage of a weak and divided humanity.

Marshall says, “There are so many things that we assume to be true that aren’t true, and so many things we have never thought of that are true in this great revelation about life in the universe called the Greater Community.” Life has brought us to this great threshold. How will we respond? Greater Community people are in the world, who are here to help support humanity through this tremendous challenge.

Greater Context and Greater Relationships

Vigil Day 3 Holding Vigil for people all over the world who are searching for a new experience of God and wish to find God beyond religion.

Marshall speaks to us. “The New Message from God is about relationship. What is important to understand here is that we have a relationship with God. This relationship is not based on belief, although belief may be our starting point, and for many people it is. It is not based on religious orientation, because our relationship with God existed before there were any religions. It is not based merely on point of view, but on a deeper resonance within us.

“Our goal in life is not to experience God, or to transcend the world, or to engage in ardent spiritual practice to experience the Divine. Our relationship with God is based on what we are here to do. Because our world is not a place of being, like our Ancient Home, it is a place of doing. It is place of action.”

Greater Context and Greater Relationships

The chapter “Your Most Primary Relationship” in Relationships and Higher Purpose says, “You have come into the world to work. God has sent you and you have sent yourself, because there is the perfect Knowledge that you need to be here.”

“Perfect Knowledge,” says Marshall and continues, “What is this telling us? This is telling us that our relationship with God is about what we came here to do. God redeems us by giving us something important to do.”

What is the goal and spiritual purpose of relationships? What is our deeper need in seeking relationships and how does relationship enable us to discover our higher self? Marshall Vian Summers talks about the real reason we seek relationship and the possibility of future relationships in empowering us to discover our higher purpose in life.

This past week, from January 24-28, 2018, the Worldwide Community of responders to the New Message from God gathered once again for the Messenger’s Vigil to commemorate the appearance of the Messenger in the world and learn more of his journey, responsibility and mission.

This is an annual event in the life of the New Message, and it is my experience that it builds and grows with each passing year. Posts on the Messenger’s Vigil in previous years can be found here.

Vigil Day 1. Holding Vigil for people all over the world who are feeling the calling and the stirrings of Knowledge within them.

What is the Messenger’s Vigil?

Patricia gives a definition of what it means to keep vigil. “It’s a time, a period, of keeping awake when usually spent asleep, especially to keep watch or to pray, an observance, looking into the future, a retreat.”

She goes on to say, “In this Messenger’s Vigil we have the opporutnity to join with Marshall who feels compelled to take this time just to consider very directly the needs of the world, the people of the world, and all life in this world, given what we are facing collectively.”

What is Spiritual Awakening?

Reed speaks on the experience of spiritual awakening, what it is, and how you can know if it is happening to you.

Next we have the privilege of hearing Marshall speak to us at the deep level of our being, during which he gives us some things to consider and some questions to be with.

He begins by saying, “I am going to speak to you at a deeper part of you, the part of you that was you before you came into the world, the part of you that will be you after you leave this place. I am going to speak to you at this level, because at this level your life is already committed, your life is already connected, your life is already true.”

This video, which presents Marshall’s address to us in full, is called “14 Truths about Spiritual Awakening.”

After I had transcribed the entire thing and began working through it to identify the 14 Truths, I came up with a much longer list. Marshall’s talk is full of deep truths, and perhaps each of us will find the ones that speak most directly to us. I offer the 14 Truths that spoke to me.

In order to experience a spiritual awakening, I must:

Build a connection from my thinking mind to the deeper mind within me.

Be a person on the ground with one foot on each shore, a bridge over which great things can pass.

Choose what to follow: Knowledge, the bigger part of me, or my worldly mind, the little part of me.

Pay attention to inner voices, deep feelings, signs, messages – what are they telling me?

Understand the meaning of reality: reality is everything beyond my thoughts and beliefs.

Take the journey to find the answers.

Spend my life wisely, for it is important.

Suspend judgment and evaluation.

Choose what I practice.

Choose who I am with and be aware of the influence they have on me.

Understand that happiness is not a goal, it is the result of the things I do.

Realize that I am here for a purpose, that Knowledge holds my purpose for me, within me, but my calling is out in the world.

Be aware that my life is a precious opportunity to discover and express Knowledge.

Refrain from self-condemnation, for how can I condemn myself when I don’t know who I am?

I am being with these truths and allowing them to perculate down from my worldly mind into the depths of my being as I take the journey to find the answers.

Walking With The Messenger

On the final day of the 2017 Messenger’s Vigil, we explore what it means to walk with the Messenger. What began as a small group of dedicated people has now burgeoned into a worldwide endeavor. There are people now walking with the Messenger all over the world, which means the sun never sets on this great cause. This is fortunate, since there are millions of people in the world waiting for the New Message.

The following passages illustrate this.

“So the Messenger can reach many more people in a very short period of time, which is necessary given the great crises on the horizon, but at the same time the resistance and the rejection can be overwhelming. It took centuries for religions to gain recognition beyond their point of origin in the world, spread very slowly because communication was very slow. Travel and transportation were very slow. Now God’s Revelation can be read by someone on the other side of the world with the click of a button.”

“The Messenger is facing a very hazardous journey ahead, for there will be much resistance to the New Revelation, as there has always been great resistance in the past to God’s Revelations in the world, whenever and wherever they were given.”

“The Messenger is facing a monumental task. He alone cannot bring the Revelation into the world. It will require the participation, the contribution and the communication of many others who can assist him in this way.”

How will you participate, contribute and communicate?

Walking with the Messenger

Reed says, “The door is open, and anyone who wants to can be a part of this. You get strong by doing difficult things and making important decisions. Everyone has this capability, and the New Message is providing the opportunity to do this.”

And he shares some more passages from God’s Ne Revelation.

“It is God’s Plan to keep Knowledge alive in this world in enough individuals to guide humanity through the dangerous events to come. God’s plan is to ignite Knowledge in enough people here in the world through God’s New Revelation for the world, to steer humanity in a positive direction and to keep Knowledge alive here.”

“God redeems you by giving you something important to do, something greater than your personal preoccupations, fears and concerns. This is how your value is restored to you. This is how your gift is discovered. And this is how your existence in the world is justified and blessed.”

We get stronger as we go. We find courage by taking on the things that demand courage. When engaging in service, it is important to know what the situation needs, not what you want to give. If you feel the need to give, do not control what it is you give, be open to giving what is needed.

The following are the things we must do.

Roadmap – The Way Forward

Continue to build and stabilize our pillars.

Continue doing the inner freedom work.

Practice Steps to Knowledge and those parts of the New Message that call to us.

Help the Society through advocacy and volunteering.

Financially support the New Message.

Share the New Message with new people.

Share the Greater Community reality with new people.

Help keep Knowledge alive in the world through our daily expression, practice and interactions.

We have many steps ahead of us. We just need to keep our eye on the next step.

Honor the importance of time—make sure your time is well spent.

Follow the internal indicator—Knowledge—push/pull, go/stop.

Everyone’s time frame is unique to them.

Don’t take cues from one another, and respond to this feeling of the necessity of time within ourselves.

Walking with the Messenger

Then we listen to the Voice of Revelation sharing part of “Walking with the Messenger.”

“Everyone who can receive the Revelation, in humility and honesty, will be walking with the Messenger. In some degree, either great or small, they will be doing what he is doing. They will be following the pathway that he is blazing for everyone.

“Any true student will do this naturally because they are following Knowledge, and they are taking the Steps to Knowledge, and they are building a strong foundation for their greater and future life through the Four Pillars of development—the Pillar of Relationships, the Pillar of Work and Providership, the Pillar of Health and the Pillar of Spiritual Development.

“To walk with the Messenger is to understand the Revelation as it is pertaining to your own life and to the lives of those whom you will influence.”

Walking with the Messenger

As for me, I say to the Messenger, I may not be walking right beside you, but I am walking with you in another part of the world. You said at the Chat this past Saturday (October 1, 2016), “I think of Jesus here and how few really knew him or his real mission at his time, only to have his identity reconstructed later on by others for their own purposes.” I have always felt there would be another Coming in my lifetime, not Jesus in person, but a phenomenon of the same ilk.

However, it still holds true that few really know you or your real mission at this time, but we now live in a different world, a world of fantastic information-spreading resources, and you are now making your public appearance. People are still likely to miscontrue and misinterpret your identity while you are here, but I pray that they will not reconstruct it for personal purposes in the future. For the New Message will remain in its pure and unsullied form, thanks to your unfailing effort, down through the eons of time.

Walking with The Messenger

Marshall ends the broadcast with a prayer.

“My prayer is that you will walk with me, that you will follow this invisible light with me, not because you only believe in me, but because the spirit within you guides you to do this. I pray that you will help me bring this into the world, that is my effort. I pray that you will help me find those people who are searching for this even at this moment. For they will not find resolution without this, and they suffer without it as you have suffered without it.

“I pray that you will help me bring God’s Revelation about life in the universe into the world, help me prepare and warn humanity about the great challenge that is coming as we emerge into this great and fantastic arena of life. The preparation has been given. I am burdened with it. It must pass from me to others. I pray you will help me in my effort. I pray that you will help me bring the awareness and preparation for the new world that we are facing, for there is no escape from this. I pray that you will see this.

“I pray that you will help me keep Knowledge alive in the world by keeping Knowledge alive in yourself and in others, to hold that fire. In the face of all adversity, and doubt, and repudiation, tragedy and error that you and I might face, you must hold that fire, hold fast to it. I pray that you will help me keep this Knowledge alive. I pray that you will walk me in the unchartered territory ahead. This is my prayer for you. It is my prayer for them. They know I cannot carry this alone. Nasi Novare Coram.

“Remember me, no matter what happens.”

Understanding the Great Coordination is vital to our participation and preparation.

On Day Five of the 2017 Messenger’s Vigil, we explore the Great Coordination and entering the reality of the Great Coordination. We try to come to a deeper understanding of the Great Coordination.

Patricia says that this Great Coordination is what God, the Angelic Assembly and the Messenger are all about; the elements of the Great Coordination are what the Society is all about, it is what we as a worldwide community are all about. And we are now witnessing and seeing evidence of the Great Coordination that has been going on since Marshall began performing the momentous task he was sent here to do of receiving and bringing to the world the New Message from God.

“The Great Coordination is something you must prepare for.” The Great Coordination

So the focus of this broadcast is “What does it mean to participate in and prepare for the Great Coordination?”

Marshall Vian Summers received the revelation called The Great Coordination on October 25, 2016. It has not yet been released to the world, but you can read about how it was received in the Journal of the New Message: Receiving the Great Coordination.

“Beyond what your senses can report, what your eyes can see and your ears can hear, there is a Greater Coordination in the world and in the universe at large—a Great Coordination, the Work of God in the universe, working through layers of service and representatives.

“It is something you must feel, deeply, this Presence, and this abiding sense that your life is really for something greater than what you have become accustomed to and what your culture promotes within you and what you have come to believe…a Greater Coordination that has brought you into the world for a higher purpose, a Greater Coordination that you cannot define and you can never fully understand…

“Hear Our words. Listen to them again and again. Comprehension will come in time with repetition.

“Your heart will know if you can follow this. Deep within you there are greater powers and forces at work. This is what you must discover. This is the great challenge and meaning of your life.”

Understanding the Great Coordination

And Reed urges us to remember that “This is not about you.”

“People…are functioning from a position of Separation, where they think everything is about them. They do not realize that their revelation is a coordination with other minds, with great events and with Spiritual Power in the universe. They do not realize the degree to which they themselves must prepare and how the time and the place and the people they are associated with are critically important.” The Threshold of Personal Revelation.

Next, Marshall speaks to us, helping us in our understanding of the Great Coordination. He tells us that this revelation is the completion of another revelation given on July 20, 2015 called The Great Alliance. In this context, alliance infers intrinsic relationship, it is inherent within us, but we have to choose it. But Coordination has to do with action. It is bringing together different individuals, different levels of reality in different places to serve a greater purpose, or to continue a purpose that has been going on since the beginning of time. A timeless purpose.

We need to participate, trust, then understand. In that order.

And another thing, we cannot use the Coordination for personal edification, because then it will escape us. We need to be reliable, dependable, and consistent, not easily pulled away and wishy-washy. We are asked to lay the foundation without understanding what will come of it. The understanding will come later.

Understanding the Great Coordination

Is this trustworthy? You can only participate to find out.

We have to be certain about what we are doing, but uncertain about what is guiding us and where we are going. This is called living an open life, which means accepting the mystery and going deeper into it.

Our world holds a lot of promise and potential, which is why it is drawing the attention of the Angelic Assembly. It is drawing a lot of force.

To have another free world in the universe is a very important thing in the larger scheme of things.

We are being given the opportunity to work for this. Let us not fail. Against all odds, we do it anyway.

Marshall says that if this can take place in a short enough time, great things can happen.

And he finishes with a prayer.

“Let us pray that the Presence will be with us and that we will find the strength and determination to be with it. For it seeks to move our lives into position for a greater service in the world, a greater meaning and a greater purpose. And with it, it brings us relationships of a very high caliber, relationships that can amplify our strength, our power and our contribution. I pray that this strength will grow from this gathering and from those who gather with me from afar, for we are all part of this Great Coordination. May the Presence of the Teachers be with us. Entering the New World

New World Water: Egypt’s Problem of De-Nile

The New Message says that the Messenger brings into the world a new world reality, a new reality of awareness and understanding and experience.

In the mid-1980s, Marshall Vian Summers received one of the very first messages about the new world from the Angelic Assembly. Reed and Patricia share some excerpts. They come from a discourse called World Evolution found in Wisdom I from the Greater Community.

“Your generation is preparing for a new world order. It is not an easy age to live in because the old structures are falling away or disintegrating rapidly, and there does not appear to be anything to take their place that seems consistent and reliable.

“As this past age has heralded the age to come, so the age to come will herald the age to follow, as if each is a stepping stone that opens up as humanity begins to take the next forward step. This is not a great ending or a great beginning but a continuation.

“The change that must be forged in the next century and indeed in the centuries to come is that the world must unite into one community.

“There are three factors that will generate the forging of a world community. The first factor is that this is the stage in history where your world emerges into the Greater Community of Worlds, which it is destined to do, both from its own explorations and from the timely visits of many cultures from beyond.

“The second factor is that your environment will deteriorate to a very great degree, bringing about international crisis. This will require cooperation and will require citizens everywhere to become actively engaged in the maintenance—indeed, even the rescue—of your planet.

“The third factor is the integration of world economy. These three factors more than anything will bring about a world community.”

Twenty-five years later, in 2011, a new revelation called “Entering the New World” was revealed through the Messenger. It says:

“Now you are in a new world—a world unlike the world you are accustomed to, a world with a changing and different climate, a world with diminishing resources, a world of polluted and contaminated rivers and soils, a world where ever growing numbers of people will be drinking from a slowly shrinking well.”

Next we listen to the Voice speaking part of this revelation to us.

And the Voice tells us like it is. No embellishments, no painting a rosy picture, but the stark and naked truth. What will you do? How will you prepare for the Great Waves of change now descending on our planet? What will you do to survive in the new world and not become a victim of this new world? How will you make the transition?

These are questions we must all ask ourselves. As I see it, we cannot be messing around thinking this is all a game and seeking our own personal happiness. If we do not prepare now, we will literally find ourselves up the creek without a paddle. We are not here to seek happiness, but I am convinced that we will find happiness as we carry out the task we were sent here to do. It is no accident that we are here at this monumental time in our world’s history. This is a great opportunity. We should realize how very fortunate we are to be living at this time of revelation, living in a new world that calls for our action and service.

Marshall speaks and urges us to rise above shock and fear. He calls on us to align ourselves with Knowledge, because Knowledge is not afraid. We can no longer retreat into our safe place and pretend that nothing is happening.

He likens this to jumping into a cold icy lake at ten thousand feet to clear our heads. I can relate to this in my own life. Instead of staying in my cosy warm bed in the morning, I rise and go out into the snowy world. A sense of urgency overcomes my reluctance. This is something I must do, for there is work to be done. A snow bath clears my head and prepares me for the work to be done each day.

Entering the New World

The New Message tells us that we have a window of opportunity, around ten years, and it provides us with the tools to prepare. It brings us to Knowledge within ourselves, that potent intelligence God has placed within us to guide us. Many solutions are needed, but one of them can be called the Knowledge Solution. There are people are staffing all kinds of solutions around the world, but who is staffing the Knowledge Solution?

Patricia says: “In order to serve the world, you must love people, you must be with people, you must listen to people. Not just your friends, not just in one social strata of your culture, but listen to people, to see their suffering, to see their ignorance, to see their true needs, to see that people are really trying to do the best with what they have. To serve, you must love people.”

What role will men and women of Knowledge play as we make this transition? What contribution can we make, how much strength can we bring?

Next we listen to part of a revelation called The Vision, received on January 27, 2013.

“Humanity has the seeds of greatness, despite its errors, its ignorance and its corruption. Spirituality is still alive in this world, where it has died and been forgotten in so many others. The fire of love is still burning here, in the minds and hearts of many, many people, a fire that has grown cold in so many other worlds in the universe around you. Humanity knows not of its greater promise, and greater potential, for it struggles with the very forces that have destroyed the power of love and Knowledge in other worlds, the very forces of greed and expediency, corruption, war and depravation.”

The Messenger’s Vigil – Living the Way of Knowledge

On Day Four of the Messenger’s Vigil 2017, Marshall invites us to explore what it means to live the Way of Knowledge. And the second great cornerstone of the New Message is the Way of Knowledge–the preparation for our emergence into the Greater Community and one of the purest first threads woven into this fabric by the Source community through the Messenger.

We are invited to consider the following during this day of the Vigil:

Living the Way of Knowledge;

Living the Way of Preparation;

Living the Way of Service.

Steps to Knowledge is the core text that teaches us these things.

Dedication to Steps to Knowledge:

“This method is given to all students of Knowledge in the world with gratitude and high expectation from your Spiritual Family. Follow the instructions as they are given. In this way, the power and efficacy of this work will be revealed to you and, therefore, our gift to you will have been given. It is with great excitement that We bestow this upon you and, through you, upon your world.”

Living the Way of Knowledge

What is needed to live the Way of Knowledge and to eventually become a man or woman of Knowledge?

The answer lies in building our strength and resilience.

A revelation called “Building Strength and Resilience” opens the doors to the preparation required for living the Way of Knowledge.

We listen to the Voice of Revelation, which says, in part:

“When you reach that point in your life when you begin to seriously think that you might have a greater purpose in being here—a recognition that is certainly waiting for you and has been waiting for you for a very long time—when you begin to think of this, you must consider the issue of strength. People assume they are ready for things they are not ready for. They assume, if given the opportunity, if given the encouragement, that they could undertake a more important set of tasks in their life.

“But the truth is they do not have the strength, and they do not yet have the capacity…

“The Angelic Presence needs to know that you have the courage and the stamina to do what will be required. Before they reveal to you anything really important, they want to see if you can sustain the effort, if you can be responsible enough, if you can correct your damaging self-tendencies, if you can be consistent, and if you can be strong.”

Personally, I find this Voice gentle and comforting, with a hint of humor, on the one hand, but with a sense of “no nonsense,” on the other. This is a call to action.

And Marshall chose this revelation because we are ready for this, it is time. It is time to move, time to take action, time to stop wasting our lives on unnecessary and foolish things.

Living the Way of Preparation

However, preparation comes before the journey.

You prepare by taking stock of your life and taking your cues at the level of the heart. For life can be lived in two ways, either at the surface, or at the level of the heart. At the surface, life is idealized, but at the level of the heart, life is experienced. At the surface, things are believed, but at the level of the heart, things are known. At the heart of life, you bring yourself into direct contact with the essence of life as it stirs within you and as it moves and guides you within the world to accomplish your specific task here. (Taken from the Introduction to Living the Way of Knowledge.)

“Whatever you establish in your life is only as strong as the foundation underneath it. Once your foundation in life becomes strong, then great things can be built upon it.” Living the Way of Knowledge, Chapter Two: The Four Pillars of Life.

And you move to the place you need to be, with the people you need to be with, and fulfill the purpose you are meant to fulfill.

Living the Way of Service

Marshall said: “When you finally get to the place, people and purpose, you face a different kind of set of challenges of how you are going hold it all in balance. You have to have much more control of your life, much more awareness in the moment, you have a lot of things to sustain, you have to be very present, you have to be looking over the horizon, and you also have to know where you’ve been. So now you have a symphony of things you are doing, because that’s what it means to live an inspired and determined life.

“You become much more certain about what you are doing, but there is always the uncertainty about who is directing you and where you are going. This is where certainty needs to happen, but uncertainty needs to be allowed.

“The Angelic Presence did the work to bring this to you, now you must do the work to receive it, embody it, and give it to others. That’s the work in a nutshell.”

Marshall ended the broadcast with a prayer:

“Let us take this time to honor the gracious Presence that abides with us, when we gather particularly.

“It wants us to be successful, it knows what that means.

“It wants to encourage us, but not overwhelm us, it knows what that means.

“It wants us to be faithful, but not slavish, it knows what that means.

“May the Presence teach us so that we may embody it too, and learn of it as all that is not real within us falls away, piece by piece, bit by bit, for it knows what that means.”

The Messenger’s Vigil – Coming of the Greater Community

Day Three of the Messenger’s Vigil takes us into a deeper understanding of the Greater Community and our relationship with it.

Marshall Vian Summers is also known as the Messenger for the Greater Community since one of his tasks is to help prepare humanity for its emergence into the Greater Community of intelligent life in the universe. And the Greater Community is one of the major corridors in the teachings of the New Message from God.

There are several Steps in Steps to Knowledge: The Book of Inner Knowing that speak directly to the Greater Community. Here are some of them. Step 187. I am a Citizen of the Greater Community of Worlds. Step 190. The World is Emerging into the Greater Community of Worlds and That Is Why I Have Come. Step 199. The World I See Is Emerging into the Greater Community of Worlds. Step 325. The World is Emerging into the Greater Community of Worlds. Therefore I Must be Attentive. And Step 326. The Greater Community is Something I Can Feel but Cannot Understand.

These are powerful Steps that begin to open our minds to the reality of the Greater Community and prompt us to explore our connection with it.

Coming of the Greater Community

Patricia draws our attention to the fact that the term “Greater Community” has a special quality about it, a secret ingredient. It takes us deeper than our superficial idea of the world. It activates a sense of memory and has the power to reconnect us to our core identity.

Reed and Patricia share some excerpts from the New Message books about the Greater Community. These are some of the earliest chapters ever given in the New Message. We are asked to try and feel the mystery of these passages, and sense how they truly are a communication from beyond.

“Life is requiring a greater evolution for humanity at this time. Your own life is moving quickly because life in general is moving quickly… The coming of the Greater Community is the great threshold for humanity. You must prepare. The world needs a new awareness, a new approach and a new foundation for society. You must prepare.” Greater Community Spirituality, Chapter 18. What is Human Destiny 

“Humanity, unknowingly, is part of a greater association of worlds.”

“This world, this planet, is undergoing the transition to emerge into the Greater Community of worlds. This is its evolutionary stage and its place in history.”

“To undergo this emergence, your world has had to accelerate technologically and experience a collapse in its tribal cultures and civilizations. We are speaking of nations that are being forged into one another, for when a world undergoes the transition into the Greater Community, out of necessity it must unify its own people.” Wisdom I. Chapter 3. The Greater Community.

Coming of the Greater Community

Patricia goes on to share with us the “whole world quality” she feels is characteristic of the people of the Worldwide Community, this fledgling community of New Message responders. We are moved by what is going on across the other side of the world. We have a more expansive vision of the world and its people.

“Many of you have felt strangely moved emotionally in these recent times. You may think it is your own personal development, but that cannot account for everything. You say to yourself, ‘Something is happening, but I don’t know what it is. I can feel it. I know something is about to happen, but I don’t know what it is.”

“People who have this background have a major contribution to make to the world’s emergence into the Greater Community. It is their Heritage they must contribute, not only their ideas. Yet until they find this, they will be profoundly alienated, and they will have great difficulty with their own temperament and nature, which in many ways seem incompatible with this world.” Wisdom I, Chapter 3. The Greater Community.

So how do you feel? Do you feel your connection with the Greater Community? Are you even willing to embrace this idea? Are you drawn to the mystery and want to know more? Do you need the support of likeminded people before you will venture on this journey?

Patricia urges us to “do it anyway.” There is a “do it anyway” imperative about the Greater Community. If you are not sure, if you need more self-determination, more courage, more freedom, more honesty, more integrity, do it anyway. It doesn’t matter what others are doing, if you feel called, do it anyway.
