They Called Him A Legend On His Home World

The Star Trek community is celebrating the rich, full life and mourning the death of Leonard Nimoy, the originator of the character Spock in September of 1966. Leonard Nimoy played Spock in what is now called Star Trek: The Original Series. He also played Spock in a number of Star Trek movies, most recently Star Trek: Into Darkness.

They called him a legend on his home world

As far as I can tell, Spock is the first human-alien hybrid to be a main character in a television series. Kal-el (more commonly known as Superman) was pure Kryptonian. Star Trek provided little detail as to the meeting of Ambassador Sarek of the planet Vulcan, and human teacher Amanda Grayson. Star Trek also declined to explore how this interplanetary marriage was received by the cultures of Earth and Vulcan. All we know is that Spock was considered to be a legend on his home world of Vulcan. (Star Trek: The Original Series: Amok Time)

They called him a legend on his home world. I was obsessed with Star Trek: The Original Series as a child. It offered a vision of the future where humanity had overcome its ethnic and religious enmities and united as a race. The captain of the Enterprise was American, the navigator was Russian, the helmsman was Japanese and the communications officer was African (or was it African-American?). Star Trek offered a vision of the future where humanity had not only reached the planets, but the stars.

They called him a legend on his home world. I find it a remarkable phenomenon that many scientists and engineers working at NASA were inspired by Star Trek.

They called him a legend on his home world. I have already explored the difficulties faced by interethnic marriages are among humans. They say that Amanda Grayson was well-received on Vulcan. They say she was addressed as “the Lady Amanda.” But what did they say behind her back? How did they feel about this innovation? And how did Amanda’s family on Earth receive her departure?

They called him a legend on his home world. One thing that is indisputable is that the character Spock has been an enormous hit with humanity. I would like to offer an alternative perspective. It is as if someone (for whatever reason) wished to present alien-human interbreeding in the most positive possible light. The families and cultures raised no objections, the pregnancy and birth was uneventful, the child was well-adjusted on his father’s world, and he grew up to be a hero and a legend. Isn’t it remarkable how well things turned out?

Star Trek: The Original Series, and the later versions of Star Trek offered one possibility as to what a greater community of intelligent life might be like. Perhaps it is important to know what it is really like? What is the reality?

How will I navigate difficult times?

What have we seen so far? Humanity faces wrenching adjustments due to affected climate and declining resources. Many people in many nations face great disruption of their world. Neither the leaders of the world nor the followers of the world are considering this. The best remedy we have is the man or woman of Knowledge, who observes and acts without attachment to a particular solution. This is the thirty-fourth paragraph.

“The world is changing. You must change with it. You must move with it. You must watch it. Like a ship captain at sea, you must watch the weather and the waves. You must look at the barometer. You must adjust your sails accordingly. You cannot sit back idly and believe that everything will work out fine, for that is only a hope that masks fear and uncertainty, and fear and uncertainty will sink the ship.”

How will I navigate difficult times? I don’t claim to be an expert on this, but declines in barometric pressure in a given location are commonly associated with increased winds. The change in barometric pressure wouldn’t give the direction of the increased winds. Therefore, the captain must be prepared to adjust the sails for a change in wind direction.

“That is why you must have a foundation in Knowledge. God has given you this to be your pilot, to be your guide and to be your compass. Without this, you only have dreams, hopes, wishes and fantasies to base your positive outlook, and none of them will survive the Great Waves of change. You will be disappointed. You will be frustrated. You will be anguished. You will be angry. You will be disappointed, you see, because you had no foundation.”

How will I navigate difficult times? An earlier paragraph described Knowledge as the deeper intelligence that the Creator of all life has placed within each person. On the other hand, it would seem that the captain (you) needs to make active use of his skill and experience. The previous post addressed the danger of building one’s life on the foundation of a preferred outcome.

“Technology will be important, but it will not save humanity. A political system may be preferred over another, but it will not save humanity. Nor will it be shared everywhere sufficiently to produce the cooperation and the assistance that will be required.”

How will I navigate difficult times? Why won’t technology save humanity? Hasn’t it been a two-edged sword? Hasn’t technology given us nuclear weapons and drone warfare? Every political system has succeeded somewhere at some time, and every political system has failed somewhere at some time. We need stronger and better people. We need men and women of Knowledge.

“You must look ahead, with clear eyes, being willing to see whatever is coming over the horizon—without condemning it, without denying it, without drawing immediate conclusions. Like the captain of the ship at sea, you are watching and responding to changing circumstances.”

How will I navigate difficult times? It is as if I need to keep one eye on the outer horizon, and one eye on the inner horizon, the deeper intelligence, Knowledge.

These Mountains, They Have No Word For Ocean

I share this poem as my offering of gratitude for the life and poetry of Philip Levine (1928-2015).

These mountains, they have no word for ocean

The New York Times has provided an eloquent obituary.

These mountains, they have no word for ocean. National Public Radio shared Levine’s recitation of his poem “What Work Is,” a poem for which he is well-known.

These mountains, they have no word for ocean. Philip Levine first appeared in my world in 2010, when I enjoyed his poem “My Fathers, The Baltic.”

These mountains, they have no word for ocean. While Philip Levine is usually associated with Detroit, he lived in the San Joaquin Valley for many years, and wrote this poem about this place. It appears in the book “News of the World.”

Our Valley

We don’t see the ocean, not ever, but in July and August
when the worst heat seems to rise from the hard clay
of this valley, you could be walking through a fig orchard
when suddenly the wind cools and for a moment
you get a whiff of salt, and in that moment you can almost
believe something is waiting beyond the Pacheco Pass,
something massive, irrational, and so powerful even
the mountains that rise east of here have no word for it.

You probably think I’m nuts saying the mountains
have no word for ocean, but if you live here
you begin to believe they know everything.
They maintain that huge silence we think of as divine,
a silence that grows in autumn when snow falls
slowly between the pines and the wind dies
to less than a whisper and you can barely catch
your breath because you’re thrilled and terrified.

You have to remember this isn’t your land.
It belongs to no one, like the sea you once lived beside
and thought was yours. Remember the small boats
that bobbed out as the waves rode in, and the men
who carved a living from it only to find themselves
carved down to nothing. Now you say this is home,
so go ahead, worship the mountains as they dissolve in dust,
wait on the wind, catch a whiff of salt, call it our life.

What Is Your Foundation? How Strong Is It?

What is your foundation? How strong is it?

What have we seen so far? Humanity faces wrenching adjustments due to affected climate and declining resources. Many people in many nations face great disruption of their world. Neither the leaders of the world nor the followers of the world are considering this. The best remedy we have is the man or woman of Knowledge, observing without judging, encouraging positive attitudes, and taking positive action. This is the thirty-first paragraph.

“For everyone else, there will be denial in general. Then the few people who see the gravity of the situation will base all of their hope upon certain solutions being generated and applied. This will be the source of their hope, but it is a weak foundation. For their whole basis of certainty is based upon certain events taking place and certain changes being made. But these events may not take place. This change may not occur. Then where will they be, but in a state of despair? For their foundation is based upon circumstances, not upon the power of Knowledge.”

What is your foundation? How strong is it? The poet Rumi said “The intelligent want self-control; children want candy.” Don’t waste your precious time waiting for a politician to say “Great waves of disruptive change are coming to the world due to humanity’s previous behavior.”

“They will believe in certain leaders who they think will save the day. But there is no leader in the world that can stop the Great Waves of change. They will believe in the goodness of humanity, but humanity will act very poorly, especially at the outset of the Great Waves. They will believe in an ideology or an economic system or technology or advancements in science, but as these prove to be inadequate and insufficient, their hope will collapse.”

What is your foundation? How strong is it? It has occurred to me that there will be a lot of hand-wringing, recrimination and finger-pointing in the outset of the Great Waves. A lot of people won’t like it when a million refugees from a number of different nations come to a city near them. Being a person who can be calm and encourage positive action might be very helpful indeed. What is your answer? Wind turbines? Free markets? A caliphate? Can you get over your attachment to your answer if your answer is not embraced? Can you get over your attachment to your answer if it is applied, but it doesn’t work?

“Do you see how weak this is, how it is based upon either ideas or abstractions or upon certain situations occurring, which in reality may be very unlikely to occur? Your optimism cannot be based upon a preferred outcome.”

What is your foundation? How strong is it? We live in a world where we don’t get things we want, and get things we don’t want. The world of the Great Waves of Change will only be more so. We have a certain attachment to the outcomes we prefer, and that attachment causes a great deal of suffering. We have to be a little smarter than this, a little more observant than this. Maybe we need a stronger connection with Knowledge, the deeper intelligence that the Creator of all life has placed within each person.

My Brother Does No Harm. He Wills No Harm.

I have been pondering the words of Marshall Vian Summers, spoken on January 28, 2015, the final night of the 2015 Messenger’s Vigil.

“The New Message says, ‘Do no harm and will no harm. Do no harm; will no harm.’ That’s a practice!”

My brother does no harm. He wills no harm

I have made efforts to practice the idea “Do no harm, will no harm.” As I practice this I discover that willing harm lies in wait at every turn. How does it lie in wait? In the form of other people. If I am persuaded that someone else is doing harm, or willing harm, haven’t I already done them harm by judging them?

My brother does no harm. He wills no harm. This way of thinking is very much in line with the lesson in A Course in Miracles “My sinless brother is my guide to peace. My sinful brother is my guide to pain. And what I choose to see I will behold.”

My brother does no harm. He wills no harm. There is a part in Step 241 of Steps to Knowledge, “My anger is unjustified” which vibrates in sympathy to this train of thought:

Anger, then, is not justified, for it is a misinterpretation of a true communication. Your anger is not justified because anger is born of confusion. Yet, confusion calls for preparation and the true application of Knowledge. Therefore, the sinful are not punished but are attended to. The wicked are not sent to hell but are prepared for Heaven. This is the true nature of God’s purpose in the world. That is why God can never be angry, because God is not offended. God is merely applying God to a situation where God has temporarily been forgotten.

My brother does no harm. He wills no harm. I know there are people reading this and thinking “But Douglas! What about the criminals and the terrorists?” It’s going to take some efforts on my part to think of them as confused and bewildered, instead of crucifying them as evil and harmful. All I know at this point is that if I’m going to practice the idea “Do no harm, will no harm,” then I’m also going to have to practice the idea “My brother does no harm. He wills no harm.”

I Wish To Speak To The Entire World

In the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” Judas Iscariot offered marketing advice to the master he betrayed:

If you’d come today
You could have reached the whole nation
Israel in 4 BC had no mass communication

I wish to speak to the entire world

On the other hand, Jesus seemed to be fully aware as to how he wished to speak for himself. The gospel of Luke reports that Jesus had an “advance team” of seventy-two disciples, who went ahead of Jesus to every town and place where Jesus was about to go. Jesus clearly had no problem with requesting people’s attention. The gospel of John reports that Jesus stood up and cried out to the crowd on the last and greatest day of a religious festival of his nation. It’s possible that word about Jesus reached other nations during his lifetime. Perhaps Jesus had more marketing savvy than Judas thought.

I wish to speak to the entire world. I am pondering these things because I have a confession to make. I confess to wanting a Super Bowl ad for the New Message from God. I have already produced the ad in my imagination. It would involve some bits from the revelation “The Proclamation”, with our golden diamond logo and URL showing for the last 3 seconds or so.

I wish to speak to the entire world. Part of my confession is a confession of the deadly sin of Super Bowl ad envy. I have thought “If so-and-so can have a Super Bowl ad, why can’t we?” There are a lot of good answers to that question.

I wish to speak to the entire world. It’s possible that a Super Bowl ad isn’t the right vehicle for the New Message from God. Perhaps it would attract the ambitious and the self-serving. But what is the 2015 equivalent of Jesus standing up and crying out on the last and greatest day of the festival? Marshall Vian Summers said “I will call forth as far as I can.”. A YouTube channel, or a website, is the equivalent of setting up one’s stall in the marketplace of commitments. Is that good enough? I don’t think so. What am I doing about it? Writing another blog post. Is that good enough? I don’t think so.

What Is The Answer? The Person Of Knowledge

What is the answer? The person of Knowledge

Some people are wondering how many posts this series will contain. At this point, it looks like somewhere between fifteen and twenty. It seems like a good thing for people to see the actual revelation, even if it is in small portions.

What have we seen so far? Humanity faces wrenching adjustments due to its unsustainable pattern of resource consumption and environment abuse. These wrenching adjustments take the form of climate disruption and involuntary human migration. The leaders of the world have no desire or willingness to face this. The followers of the world have no desire or willingness to face this. This is the twenty-seventh paragraph.

“The man or woman of Knowledge sees this, of course. They are not in denial. They are not simply trying to project a preferred outcome. They are seeing what is transpiring, and they are altering their conclusions regularly as the situation changes, as the Great Waves approach. You may be certain that the Great Waves are coming, but you do not know how they will impact the world or when they will strike. The great uncertainty is how humanity will respond.”

What is the answer? The person of Knowledge. In an earlier paragraph, Knowledge was described as “the deeper intelligence that the Creator of all life has placed within each person to guide them, to protect them and to lead them to their greater accomplishments in life.” Someone is wondering “Why isn’t the man or woman of Knowledge trying to project a preferred outcome?” Because Knowledge is far greater and wiser than our preferences or anxieties. The man or woman of Knowledge does seek to contribute strength of character and strength of faculties of mind.

“The man or woman of Knowledge is watching—watching without coming to fixed conclusions, watching without condemning the world, watching without losing hope, watching without becoming jaded or cynical, watching without blaming leaders or individuals or nations, watching the changing landscapes of the world, looking for the signs that the world is giving to indicate how, where and when the Great Waves will strike.”

What is the answer? The person of Knowledge. One of the great practices of Steps to Knowledge is cultivating the ability of observing without judgment, observing without assumption, observing without the projection of blame. Just as Joseph of old told Pharaoh about the seven years of famine that would come to Egypt in the future, the man or woman of Knowledge will know a little more than most people about the difficulties to come, that less things can be broken and less lives can be lost.

“The man or woman of Knowledge has moved to higher ground, both circumstantially in their outer life and within themselves, basing their life upon Knowledge, the deeper intelligence—an intelligence that is not afraid of the world, that is not afraid of change, and that can face anything because it is intelligence given by God. It is wise. It is compassionate. It is objective.”

What is the answer? The person of Knowledge. The man or woman of Knowledge isn’t exactly a “doomsday prepper,” because he or she is thinking about the survival of others. On the other hand, the man or woman of Knowledge is preparing in practical ways for difficult times ahead.

“Here the man or woman of Knowledge is not insisting on solutions, but instead watching and encouraging positive behavior, positive awareness and positive actions. But they are not reliant on hope alone, for hope is too weak, too easily shattered, too easily diminished and deflated. Their power is the power of Knowledge—a power that does not diminish in the face of difficulty or uncertainty, a power that is not undermined by tragedy or crisis. They will see clearly and respond appropriately to the changing situations that they see immediately around them and in the world at large. For they are not afraid to look and see because Knowledge is their power.”

What is the answer? The person of Knowledge. Someone is reading this and wondering “Douglas, do you claim to be one of these persons of Knowledge of which this revelation speaks so highly?” My answer is “I claim to be a candidate for the position of ‘man of Knowledge.’ I claim to be hoping, planning, and working toward becoming a man of Knowledge.”

Please Reconsider Your Current Approach

Please reconsider your current approach

What have we seen so far? Humanity faces wrenching adjustments, due to a disrupted climate, due to destructive use of a lush, abundant world. This destructive use came from ignoring the deeper intelligence within us. Our political and religious leaders are blind to these adjustments, as they only see the future as more of the past. A few individuals could see the coming danger, but they were rejected by humanity as crackpots. This is the twenty-third paragraph.

“You cannot stop the Great Waves of change. You can mitigate them and their impacts and you can prepare for them, but you cannot stop them now. If people cannot change, based upon their conscience and their vision of the world, then they will have to change in the face of demanding situations and crises. It is a poor way of learning, of course. It is a fool’s education, of course. But the education must happen because humanity must adapt to a world in change, to a declining world.”

Please reconsider your current approach. In earlier portions of this revelation, it is taught that there will be involuntary migration from certain areas of the world, due to changes in the world’s climate. People are going to have to think a little bit less about their particular worlds, and think a little bit more about the entire world. The New Message frequently uses the phrase “a world of declining resources” to describe the world of the future.

“The poorer peoples of the world, what can they do now to prepare? They have no social power, no social mobility. They cannot simply pack up and move to a wealthy nation. They are stuck. They are held in place. So the responsibility lies with the wealthy peoples and the wealthy nations to lead the way. But even in the wealthy nations, there are few who can see. People everywhere, rich or poor, are so often unwilling to reconsider their lives and to change their attitudes and approaches. It is a problem in human development.”

Please reconsider your current approach. Is humanity’s pattern of resource consumption and environmental use sustainable? I have asked this question to people in many walks of life, and the usual answer is “Uh, well, no.” But most people live as if humanity’s pattern of resource consumption and environmental use was sustainable. What will happen when the average person in China, and the average person in India, expects to live like the average person in America, or Europe? There is a vague uneasiness that something is amiss, but no idea as to how to address it.

“The world will become warmer. Lands will open up, but you will not be able to grow much food on them. And violent weather will be a problem everywhere—depleting nations’ resources, creating catastrophes one after another.”

Please reconsider your current approach. You may have to take care of someone who has had to move from the arid regions of the world. Who knows, you may have to move and someone may have to take care of you. How can you strengthen yourself in the face of these possibilities?

“Humanity will have to move to a different kind of equilibrium with life in the future, a different kind of stability in the world. The great question facing you is what will happen between now and then? If people are blind and do not see the Great Waves of change coming over the horizon; if people are unwilling to reconsider their lives, their obligations and their circumstances; if people are unwilling to overlook their cultural and national prejudices and grievances, then humanity is heading towards a great calamity, or series of calamities to be more precise.”

Please reconsider your current approach. I get that anyone who says “Well, we’re [insert your nationality here], and the way we do things is to [insert your nation’s strategy here]” is heading towards a great calamity. Adaptability will be a highly valuable trait in the difficult times ahead. The ability to take pages from the playbooks of other cultures and nations will be important in the days to come. The ethnic and religious enmities that people hold are going to be exposed as an unaffordable luxury.

Please reconsider your current approach. I realize this message has been a message of difficult times ahead. But I hope you will continue to follow this series, because beyond the message of difficulty, there is a remedy being offered. If you’re wondering “What am I supposed to do about all this?” the answer is in the next post.

Не причиняйте вреда, и не желаете вреда, говорит Маршалл Виан Саммерс.

С 22 по 28 января 2015г, люди всемирного сообщества Нового Послания от Бога снова собрались, чтобы отметить присутствие Посланника на земле и присутствие Нового Послания от Бога в мире. Я рассказала об этом празднике в честь Посланника в прошлом году тут.

К счастью, как и в том году, в этом году я сумела посмотреть каждую трансляцию в течение недели в реальное время. И хочу подчеркнуть, что сила энергии во время передач, когда много людей пристутсвовали в помещении Нового Послания в штате Колорадо и ещё больше слушали по всему миру, ощущалась с особой мощью. Я очень благодарна за эту возможность участвовать и поглубже рассмотреть свое отношение к Посланнику самому и к Новому Посланию в целом.

В этой записи, я бы хотела обратить ваше внимание на некоторые важные для меня моменты выступления Маршалла Виана Саммерса в последний день Праздника.

“Новое Откровение Бога для мира дает нам что-то очень ценное; оно показывает нам, как Бог относится к нам. Оно показывает нам, как Ангельская Ассамблея оценивает нас. Я хочу, чтобы вы задумались на минутку об этом. Без осуждения, без гнева, без мести, без намерения наказать, зная, что без Знания, которое было помещено внутри нас, нам свойственно заблуждаться, мы делаем ошибки, и мы относимся к себе и другим безжалостно. Не причиняйте вреда, и не желаете вреда

“В Новом Послании говорится, Не причиняйте вреда, и не желаете вреда. Не причиняйте вреда, не желаете вреда. Это – практика. И этой практикой нужно заниматься везде, куда вы идете в мире. Надо быть нейтральным, не осуждать, а слышать, воспринимать, слушать людей, вникать в их жизненные обстоятельства, стараться понимать, чем они дышать, что их двигает, каким силам они подвергаются.

Поэтому, чтобы переломить ситуацию, мы начинаем следить за тем, чтобы не причинать вреда и не желать вреда, сочувствовать людям, не игнорировать их, слушать их, стараясь понять, почему они страдают, почему они делают ошибки, почему они жестоко относятся к себе и другим, потому, что с таким сочувствием и уважением Небеса думают и смотрят и слушают, и Небеса слушают вас.

И если вы можете делать то же самое — и это не легко, поверьте мне; есть ситуации, где это очень трудно сделать — то вы начнете относиться к себе таким же образом, как Небеса относятся к вам, и вы будете относиться к другим с таким же терпением, с такой же чувствительностью, все же сохраняя объективность—эти две вещи вместе.

Я надеюсь, что вы будете полагаться на себя, ведь Небеса очень много вкладывают в ваше благополучие.”

Living History

Living history continues with the 2015 Messenger’s Vigil. This is an annual event celebrated by the New Message from God community during the last week in January. Both Douglas and I have shared our experiences of last year’s Messenger’s Vigil here and here.

I am happy to say that, this year too, I was able to attend all seven broadcasts live, despite the time difference – early evening in Boulder, CO is early morning in Moscow, Russia. There is a palpable energy and feeling of connection with the worldwide community that I experience when watching and listening to these broadcasts live. The early predawn hours are a special time for me anyway, when all is quiet and the house still sleeps, but I am awake and receptive to the stillness and silence. I was very grateful for this precious time.

In this post, I would like to briefly recap the seven broadcasts and share a particular thought or words that spoke to me deeply each day.

January 22, 2015 Opening Broadcast hosted by Ellen Mitchell and Ayesha Summers.

A special feature of this broadcast was listening for the first time to “The Messenger’s Calling,” a revelation received by Marshall Vian Summers on September 3, 2014. It begins at the 49.20 mark in the video.

We were invited the first day to explore our personal relationship with the Messenger.

Ellen said, “We need to know if we have a relationship with this man, and that knowing needs to come from inside of each of us.”

This is not an answer that can be handed to us from the outside, it needs to be experienced and known on the inside.

This resonated with me–the need for this answer to come from the inside. I continue to be attentive to the inner prompts I receive.

January 23, 2015 The Origins and Lineage of God’s Messenger hosted by Carol Coffey and Robert Busbey.

Robert shared that the Revelation is telling us where the Messenger has come from, his origin, who he is, what he is.This has never been revealed to the public before, yet now it is. And he asked a pertinent question, “Why now?”

“How great the consequences must be now for this to be revealed by the Source of the New Message. I can’t help but feel what great trust they must have in us now, to open up like that to us, for us to hear this and for us to be open enough to receive this. Can we?”

Can we indeed. I believe we can, for we must.

January 24, 2015 The Story of the Messenger hosted by Darlene Mitchell and Ana Burrows.

Darlene opened the broadcast by saying that everyone has gathered to celebrate, there is a New Message from God in the world, we are all living in a time of revelation. This is living history.

She said, “The Messenger’s Vigil allows us to have time together, to pause and to collect our experiences around these three facts – see who this man is to us, what his message means to us, and what we mean to him and his message.”

Three probing things to consider. This is the essence of the Vigil and its meaning – not just to listen to what other people are saying, but to really think about what it means to me, why I am here, why I feel drawn to attend the broadcasts every day, what I am experiencing inside, the connection I feel with the other people responding, what does it all mean?

January 25, 2015 The Qualities and Traits of the Messenger hosted by Tyyne Andrews and Will Burrows.

Will read some excerpts from one of the revelations about who the Messenger is.

One of them said, “He is a man. He is not a god. He is fallible, but he is perfectly designed for this role, and he requires your assistance and support.”

Am I ready to accept this?

January 26, 2015 The Mission and the Burden of the Messenger hosted by Robert Busbey and Jeanine Butler.

Robert shared, “Millions of people are waiting for the New Message, millions of people are waiting to be found. The mission of the messenger is to establish God’s Revelation here sufficiently in his remaining years so that humanity can begin to prepare for a changing world and prepare for its engagement with the Greater community itself.”

“What must the Messenger do to bring this Revelation into the world? How will the Messenger do this? How many must assist him to do this? Hundreds, thousands? More? What must they do? Who are they? Are you one of them? How will you know?”

I am considering these questions. How indeed will I know? I know now that I am drawn to do certain things, while other things fall away. I know now that I feel an inner joy and peace that I have not experienced before. I will continue exploring to know more.

January 27, 2015 The Future and Destiny of the Messenger hosted by Ana and Will Burrows.

Ana said, “It is the Messenger’s destiny to bring the New Message from God into the world, it is the world’s destiny to emerge into the Greater Community as a free and self-determined race, it is our destiny to be a force for good in the world in concert with other people. Destiny is everything.”

It is my destiny to be a force for good in the world in concert with other people. Can I fulfill my destiny? I am going to give it my best shot.

Living history

January 28, 2015 Final Broadcast hosted by Patricia and Reed Summers.

It is time to bring the Messenger out into the world and for the Voice of Revelation to be heard in the world. This is the purpose of the Messenger’s Vigil.

And living history continues. The Summers just returned from journeying out into the world to walk among the people and talk to the people in different lands. During this journey, Marshall received eight more revelations. Reed lists them in this broadcast. He concluded this inventory by saying that the revelations have been “captured in audio form and will be preserved for all generations down through time.” What is this if not living history?

The highlight of this final broadcast was a personal message from Marshall Vian Summers, which begins at the 57.25 mark in the video. Douglas writes in more detail about this message here.

I will just say that what struck me most were these words:

“How God regards you is so very different from how you regard yourself and others, and throughout the Revelation is this regard for you, that you’re really worth something, that you are important, that your life is a meaningful event, with a purpose and a destiny—not your purpose and destiny—a purpose and a destiny.”

Let us all be part of this living history, this purpose and destiny. Let those who are already responding and those who will respond (and I have no doubts that they will) join to form the force of good in the world that will raise humanity above its current trials and tribulations to emerge into the Greater Community with its freedom intact and with the gift of Knowledge reclaimed and ready to be given further.
